About the Event
There are millions of people who are receiving support services while dealing with or being affected by the abuse of alcohol, drugs, and other substances. Over 85% of those persons being served indicate that a key component of their recovery process is their connection to a strong faith community and faith leader that they can lean on or into for support.
At an alarming rate, African American communities are being affected by the abuse of harmful substances and experiences and it’s time to take action to reclaim our communities. With this focus, the SC DAODAS has partnered with the recovery community of Oak Grove Baptist Church and other churches to host the "African American Faith Leaders Convening for Recovery Support Services
